Or, more precisely, Land’s End to Boscastle, for I’ve walked this section in reverse.
All but five miles was taken as the start of my Cross-England walk:
- in September 2006, 48 miles over three days from Land’s End to Trevaunance Cove;
- in March 2007, 57 miles in three-and-a-half days from Trevaunance Cove to Tintagel.
See the Cornwall page of my Cross-England walk for details.
In August 2008, Barbara and I took a short holiday in north Devon and as part of it, on 28 August 2008, we walked the five miles from Tintagel to Boscastle. Alas no photographs remain, but there is a diary entry which records we ate fish and chips in Boscastle before catching the bus back to Tintagel where we had left the car! It’s an excellent short stage, never getting too high but with dramatic coastal scenery nevertheless.
